BS 6 TVS Apache RR 310

BS 6 TVS Apache RR 310's India launch will take place on 25 January. When launched, it will become the fourth BS 6-compliant product in the Indian company's portfolio after Apache RTR 160, RTR 200, and Jupiter. Besides upgrading its flagship bike's engine to BS 6 emission standards, TVS has also added some cosmetic tweaks and new features on the new iteration of RR 310.

Specifications of TVS Apache RR 310 :

The bike has already been spotted testing a number of times, including on the MMRT (Madras Motor Race Track). The new TVS Apache RR 310 will retain its existing mass-forwards stance and its fully-faired design. However, its 2020 edition will come with new paint schemes, including dual-tone shaded and new racing graphics. Another change on the new bike is that it could come with new set of rubbers for enhanced traction.

The biggest change on the upcoming Apache RR 310 will be the inclusion of a an all-new instrument panel. The bike, in all likelihood, will ditch the existing LCD console for a vertically oriented colour TFT panel. This unit will offer information like speed, odometer, gear shift indicator, trip meter, and ABS status.

Besides this, the system will also come with diagnostics system, speed recorder, lap timer, and launch time recorder. We also expect TVS to install its SmartXonnect system for smartphone connectivity, especially considering the fact that this connectivity feature is available in other TVS products like Ntorq 125, Jupiter, and RTR 200 bike.

2020 Apache RR 310 will come powered by the existing 312.2 cc liquid-cooled engine, albeit in BS 6 state. This unit makes 34 horses and 27 Nm on the BS 4 variant. However, there is a possibility that upgrading the powerplant to BS 6 state could lead to a marginal drop in power.
BS 6 Apache RR 310 will be available with a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch as standard. We don't think the company will tweak the bike's other mechanical hardware as that could cause a significant hike in the prices. So, expect the new RR 310 to continue using cartridge type USD and mono shock by KYB and disc brake on either ends with dual channel ABS.
The new TVS Apache RR 310 will command a premium over the outgoing model because of the BS 6 engine and new features. So, while the current RR  310 costs ₹2.27 lakh, the BS 6 Apache RR 310's price could range between ₹2.45 lakh to ₹2.5 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
