Destitute people who were given blankets by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on December 27th in Lucknow were asked to return them soon after he left. Police have registered cases against the accused.

Lucknow Police has registered cases against people who are accused of taking away blankets from destitute people living in shelter homes.
According to a report published in a daily, Yogi Adityanath on Thursday, December, 27 had visited government hospitals and homeless shelters for a blanket distribution drive. However, soon after the CM left, these quilts were taken back from all those who were benefitted by the drive. The administration has now taken cognizance of the matter and have assured criminal proceedings against the culprits. It is reported that the UP Chief Minister had visited shelter homes located inside Laxman Mela Ground, Dollyganj and King George Medical University. During this visit, he also interacted with homeless people and took a stalk of facilities assured to people living in these shelters.
Others to accompany him were, state government ministers Mahendra Pratap Singh, Ashutosh Tandon, District Magistrate, Abhishek Prakash among other senior officials.
