'Citizenship Amendment Act has nothing to do with Muslims living in India,' Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid says:

Syed Ahmed Bukhari urged his fellow Indians to exercise restraint while practising their democratic right to protest. The top cleric of Jama Masjid also reminded people that the National Register of Citizens and the Citizenship Amendment Act are separate from each other and only one of them has become the law.

He continues :

Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid, Syed Ahmed Bukhari: To protest is the democratic right of the people of India, no one can stop us from doing it. However, it is important that it is done in control, keeping our emotions in control is the most important part.
